Hi there, I’m back in your space as I promised in the last post! This marks the last post of the year, but that’s not even the exciting news here. What makes it more remarkable is that it’s coming on the last day in the year 2023, yayyyy! Yes, you read that correctly, 2023 has finally come to an end!
Like seriously, wasn’t it just a while ago that we started writing “January 2023” every time we had to put down the date? Where did the time go? Well, I think we can only be that surprised because God has been faithful and has kept us in perfect peace.
So, it’s a good time to just let a “Thank you” flow out from the depth of your heart to God for seeing you through this year. If we start to remind ourselves about the events in 2023, we need not be told that there are thousands of things to be grateful for. Think of the happenings in your life, your family, your friendship circle, your community, and even in your nation at large.
My fellow Nigerian, have you forgotten so soon? Have you forgotten the issue of money scarcity just before the general elections, the period when Naira became gold and you had to wait in a long queue at banks just to get your own money out, sometimes to no avail? How about saying that you had to literally buy your money with money? That might have seemed like a long time ago, but it was in this same 2023 o.
Should we start to talk about fuel scarcity, increase in pump price, the wonders around the General elections, when it felt like Nigeria had come to its end, insecurities in different places, and many other happenings? Despite all of this, it has pleased our Maker that all those situations become something we can remember now and just heave a sigh of relief or smile about. Indeed, it has been God!
Yes, this is more of an appreciation post! So, I’ll urge you to just bring along your reflection cap as you take into account the things that have happened in the past 12 months, 52 weeks, and 365 days. Remember the best of events, the good, the bad, and even the ugly!
Relax! I know the “ugly” isn’t something you ever want to cast your mind back to, but if you are going to indeed count your blessings and victories, then you just have to bring it to your remembrance. I agree that it was ugly, but guess what, you came out victorious! You were not swallowed up, and neither did your life come to an end courtesy of it. Hey, you indeed had scars, but they are also evidence of your victory! This is where you say “I came, I saw, and I conquered!”
Have you taken the time to think about the promotions, progress records, financial breakthroughs, outstanding provisions, supernatural protections, and increases you experienced in 2023? Dear one, who would you attribute all those successes to? Who has got your back through it all? Who is the only sense that you could make out of those amazing, mouth-opening situations? Who has been there for you in the midst of the storm and still? Think about it all and channel your gratitude to Him!
Yes, God has been a constant help, but I’m sure you are aware that He has also brought men into your life to do the things He had intended to do for you. Your circle of friends and helpers did not just come into your space by accident, they were all in His agenda, and they are expressions of His love and commitment to you.
This is to say that you also have to be grateful to everyone who has been a source of help and encouragement to you this year. Extend your appreciation to your family, friends, tribe, cheerleaders, and all positions that people occupy in your life, you know it all. You couldn’t have journeyed all alone, there are people who have been there for you at one point or the other. Reach out to them with your “thank you”.
As for me, it’s the perfect time to appreciate every supporter of this vision; The Mirror and Reflections. Trust me, this is not just coming from a place of obligation or compulsion. This is me being grateful that I have found a solid supporter in you. It’s everything about your love for this work for me; your commitment to reposting the flyers, your comments on every post, your feedback, your suggestions, everything!!!
I do not say this to flatter you, but you are indeed a God-sent! You have helped carry this vision in a way that I cannot even describe with words, and I am indeed grateful beyond words. January to December 2023 with you has been a wonderful ride, and I can only pray that we do more together in 2024. My dear reader, I love you, and I am delighted that you are always here. Kindly read this last sentence in the language that you love the most, because you mean so much to me.
I remember I said that this is more of an appreciation post, but why not let’s just give ourselves a few words of advice as we have a few more hours to officially step into the 1st of January, 2024? The next paragraphs are going to come in simple yet powerful words. Now, let’s run together!
May I share some good news with you? 2024 has started already! Like seriously, the race has begun! However, I have a question for you. Who are you starting this journey with? Who is going to paddle the boat with you in this new season? Think about it, and hand over the keys and the paddle to Him without holding back. Trust me, He’s got you every day, every time!
Don’t wait till tomorrow before you start to put your intentions and plans for 2024 into action! You have to start RIGHT NOW! Start to settle the thoughts of tomorrow today. Make wise decisions in every aspect of your life; finances, career, academics, business, relationships, spiritual aspect, in everything! The grand plans and openings of the future start with the small steps that you take now. So, I say to you again, start now!
Allow yourself to accommodate the visions and thoughts of great things in your mind. You can dream big, and you really should! Your big dreams can be achieved, and they will! Therefore, don’t just settle with the average mindset! If 2024 is going to be a different year, then you should see things differently and in a better light.
Let me tell you this; everything you set your mind to achieve is a possibility. You just have to see it first as being possible, and then move in the direction of that possibility. See those great things you desire happening, put them into planning, and forge ahead without fear!
If you are going to have an outstanding 2024, you need the right company of people in your space. You need to have people who will embrace your vision and cheer you in the direction of accomplishment. You need to have people to whom you will be accountable. Pray for future-forward people with whom you can do life and rise together, be open to them, and walk with them! In 2024, we will all win!
Were there things you were unable to accomplish in 2023? Hey, don’t wear that long face, don’t put your head down in discouragement! You are not a failure! I challenge you to go back to the drawing board, think about better ways to go about making those things work, and put them into practice. They are possible, and they will be achieved!
Yes, it’s a better and fulfilled 2024 already! It’s beaming with light and extraordinary accomplishments! I know you are set to make preparations for stepping into the new year, so I will not delay you further. It is my joy to be the first to wish you a “Happy New Year!” You experience all possibilities in this new phase, dear one. Have an amazing 2024!
