Finally, it’s the very last day in 2025! My tribe member, by now, I’m sure you must have uttered and muttered hundreds of ‘thank you’ to God today, but I guarantee you that everything put together still does not sum up to the bountiful mercies we’ve been shown this year. Remember that hymn about a thousand tongues? But then, the beautiful thing is that our Father receives our gratitude even as we do the little we can with this one tongue that He graciously gave to us. What a Good, considerate, and loving Father you have!
By now, I’m sure you must have received my appreciation note in your WhatsApp d.m or probably seen it on my status. Again, this is me appreciating you for identifying with The Mirror and Reflections this year, and for being a part of her growth process. You sat through different lengthy posts, reading from the very first letter to the last because you love this space, what goes on in there, and the face behind it. And for this, I am really grateful!

This is going to be a very short post as it’s just to encourage and give you a bit of stirring within as we close this chapter and open up another beginning from 12am, which is in fact less than 12 hours from now. It isn’t just a saying, it’s actually a truth found in the word of God that “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof”. I believe you can attest to that, having taken some minutes to reflect on the way you entered into 2025 and where you are currently in your journey, in spirit, soul, and body.
I know that this year must have been filled with different experiences, some of which you would love to recount to as many people as would care to listen, and also some which you would never want to remember. However, do you know that despite it all, the truth of the word that I scripted out earlier still stands? We can call this ending a better one because you outlived the experience, you are here reflecting on it, and you have breath in your nostrils to make a positive outcome of the situation, even if it was negative.
Therefore, whether you lost or gained so much this year, I still say to you ‘This is a better ending, and you are the evidence’. You might have fallen so hard on your face as the journey of 2025 went on, or even sustained some major or minor bruises that have led to scars. How about you look at those scars and be reminded that they are marks of victory, a reminder that the incident you experienced did not end you?
My dear tribe member, this better ending is only going to open you up to a new and even better beginning! However, you have a part to play in determining the outcome you see or will step into in 2026. First, I want you to have a profound sense of gratitude. Believe it when I say that seeing things through the lens of gratitude can make a lot of difference and change your perspective about the situation.

Can I give you a little task to do? I want you to pick a pen and outline just 2 things (feel free to write more if there are) that you are grateful for despite all that has happened this year, both the good and the bad. You will be surprised that though your initial intention was to write just two things, you might end up writing more than 50 points.
Take this from someone who has walked this path before, though in a different scenario. I was just going to pen down one or two lessons I learnt from a particular experience I had a while back, and I ended up writing more than 50 points. When I say points, I mean actual compound and complex sentences☺️. It was at that moment that I realized that the experience had actually been a blessing in disguise, and I had gained so much from it. If you can think deeply beyond the surface, you will have many reasons to be thankful.
The second thing I’d like to say is that never bury your face in shame, even though it might be scarred. You went through it, but again, guess who came out of it? YOU! So, give yourself that grace, and let renewed hope speak out from within you. Silence the voice of regret, hurt, bitterness, pain, fault-finding, judgment, and the like.
As part of your better-ending process, make peace! Your journey to seeking and obtaining peace begins from within before it radiates outward. I believe this is one of the things that gratitude would open you up to. Make peace first with yourself and with all that has happened, and if possible, make peace with any concerned individual as the occasion warrants.

Sometimes, we bask in the thought of how rosy the situation has been and we forget that there can be even greater good drawn to us. This is not to belittle your past exploits, never! They are all part of the story, and they have added to the stars you currently have on your shoulder and your current ranking. However, as you remain grateful for those wins, remember that you are about to step into a year that carries a greater weight of exploits!
Granted, you have moved mountains in 2025! But guess what, there are even more territories to take, troops to outrun, and walls to leap over! There will always be more for you in God! Therefore, renew your mind just in case you were just about to relax, and get back to buying more fields. Your inheritance is ‘every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon’, and you haven’t gotten to those places yet. Reach out and take them in 2026!
I promised that this wasn’t going to be a long post, so this is the point where I keep the promise😁. It feels so good to say I’ll see you in the next post. But let me make it sound even sweeter; I’ll see you again next year!💃 Happy New Year in advance!💫
