And just like that, it’s the third month of the year already! Rather than spend time debating on whether or not the days are going by fast, I implore you to join me in channeling that energy into appreciating God for good health and a sound mind. After all, we’re only able to reason these things out because our health is intact. Have you said the “thank you, God!” yet? If yes, let me in turn welcome you to March 2025!
I am so excited about what this month has in store and has to offer, and I have no doubt that it’s going to be a great month altogether! We’ve even started on a good note, and there’s so much excitement in my environment, a part of which you belong! Can I share what my convictions about the outcome of this month are based on with you? Of course, you bet I will!

First, as we were stepping into the month, I had an inner witness that it was going to be a month for a joy ride. Guess how I felt a few days later when I saw that my church themed the month “JOYFULL”? You got that right, my excitement was over the roof! In addition to that, it’s been days of receiving amazing news from different angles as people get to share the next big thing happening for them. Right now, I just wait in eager spirits for the next big news, and I know yours is among them!
While we wait for that pleasant surprise to pop up in our faces, I would like to draw you in for a conversation for a few minutes. This ‘temptation’ is something I believe we all face or have once faced at one time or the other in our lives, or perhaps, I should speak for myself.
But if you feel this looks like what you’ve once been through or how you’re feeling currently, I would appreciate feedback in the comments. I’m talking about the temptation to “settle” for the phase we are in currently, thus losing the motivation to push for more or forge ahead.
Have you ever thought about how we ever got to a point in our journey where we start feeling like we are fine with what is going on and we almost or even lose the zeal or energy to keep things going? In case you’ve thought about it before, I’d like to add a few things to what you might have in mind. And in case you haven’t given it a close examination, I’d like to share some things with you as well.

One of the things that affects us and makes us get laid back in our pursuit is what we commonly call the “I have arrived” syndrome. It is a stage where we probably have some good things falling in place and going smoothly, and then, we suddenly feel like there’s nothing else to reach out for. Sometimes, this mentality eats us really deep such that we are still caught in that space and referring to that box we once ticked even when the next is lying right there, waiting for us to get it picked and into the bag.
Does this then mean that we should not recount our blessings? No, far from it, I haven’t said that! What I am trying to say is that the confidence and gratitude we have for the exploits of the past should fuel an even greater level of confidence and hope in us for what lies in our future. The past was good, and the present is better, but guess what, the best is yet to come!
Another thing that we have to pay close attention to is the mediocrity mindset, to put it in more clear terms, settling for the average performance. This is quite similar to the first point as they tow the same route. The average performance sets in when we are not willing to put our best foot forward to ensure that the top-grade work is done. Thus, as a way of encouraging our ‘laziness’, we pat ourselves on the back and say to ourselves that we tried. But, have we, really?
As we take care of every other thing, it is also important that we conquer the fear of the unknown which has kept our arms folded and feet buckled. When we don’t know what it would feel like to gear toward the next project or embark on that journey, we resort to fear. Fear is very deadly, and if allowed to have its way, it puts a stop to every breakthrough that could find its way into our lives. Now that you are aware of this symptom, what are you going to do about it?

I wish we could stop at the first type of fear mentioned above, but permit me to say that this is just as real. Sometimes, we not only fear the unknown future, but we are also worried about the opinions of people concerning what we consider to be our next project. Because we believe that their opinions matter to us, we get lost in their words and their world, trying to find a space to fit in so badly.
Then, there’s the lack of clarity on what we want to do next! Sometimes, we are lost in the midst of a variety of options or different directions that all seem like the right way to go at the time. At other periods, we might only have even just one option, but we still do not feel like it is the next step to take. In either case, we tend towards the more convenient path, which is refusing to take the leap.
Having read up to this point, have you been able to point out what could be the summary of what you’re thinking or feeling? I’m glad you got a diagnosis for yourself, and I’m happy to know that you are willing to get better henceforth. Now, let’s leave the gloomy area and walk towards the brighter side, the path of solutions!
Do you remember the last time you bagged a degree or got something huge done, and you were like “This in the bag, that in view”? Exactly, that’s the idea of the topic! The idea is to keep filling the bag because there is room for more achievements and exploits. Now, let me challenge your drive and motivate you a bit; what happened to the other thing that you told us was in view? Where did your zeal go?

Trust me, this call is even directed first towards myself, and I’m sharing the reawakening reflection with you. It is a call to remind you that no matter where you are presently or the height you believe you have attained, there is a lot more that lies ahead. Can you recall those parts of the scripture that tell you that you were made for the nations?
Well, they aren’t just written to make you feel good! They’re there to tell you the realities that you have to wake up to, knowing that there are possessions for you to acquire, and you are not permitted to back down until you have done all that you have been called to do. Please, allow this to dwell in your consciousness going forward.
To do this, you have to remember and always go back to what has been written concerning you! Over time, we allow a lot of opposite notions into our space to the point where we start to forget what our original blueprint looks like. Therefore, to keep the right knowledge in view and mind, we must always go back to what the Word says, declare it boldly, and walk in it!
Let me ask you this for a minute, are you even aware that what is ahead of you is greater than just being about you? Oh my, you didn’t know? My dear, it’s beyond just your space oo. You have been called a channel of blessing to many others. There are a million and one persons whose breakout depends on or is attached to yours. Can you see the number of people that your greatness is serving, and whose greatness you are to serve? Well, it’s time to get to work!

One of the gifts that we can never deny in our lives is the gift of the right people who can always call us to order or tell us that we have been slacking. You see those people who would remind you about the things you told them months back and ask why you haven’t started working on them yet? They are wonderful souls to have around!
Once you notice that you are starting to feel relaxed or carefree about those once-upon-a-time raging passions, you need to speak with your accountability partners. Be open-minded enough to tell them what is going on. They are not there to judge you or make you feel less of yourself. Rather, they are there to call forth the goal-getter in you!
There’s another side to this coin, which is the side where you have to put the voice and the words of the naysayers behind you. And to do this effectively, you have to first let go of the ‘fear of what people would say’. If all you ever hear is how impossible the thing is for you or why it’s not your place to get it done with no counsel on better ways for accomplishment, you should do your checks and put out the noise.
On some occasions, the longer it takes to get started on a goal, the less the drive we feel about it. We would only discover that at some point, what used to be one of our foremost thoughts at all times has gradually been relegated to a thought that manages to surface once in a while. Thus, it is important that we have a time focus in mind, a period projected for accomplishing that goal we’ve been thinking or talking about.

Would you mind giving room to one more thought? I’d love that you imagine the work being done, and the happiness that would fill your soul at that realization. When there is an end to look forward to, you are geared towards reaching out for that end. Take some time to think about how you would feel when you arrive at the point of receiving the prize for your good work and efforts put in place.
On this journey to taking territories, having an image or images of possibilities is equally important. These are people who have once taken or are currently taking the same path that you are about to take and have been called pacesetters. Find these people and place them before your face as the right systems that you look up to. The more you see them, the more you see how possible your vision is!
I also have to speak to you about this, be focused! Sometimes, getting into too many activities can make you start to lose sight of what matters. Therefore, rather than trying to be involved in everything and anything, be clear on your route, stay true to it, and enjoy the walk! Don’t be so quick to jump on what is said to be the next trending subject.

Finally, I’ll tell you to trust the process and the One who started the journey or put you on the course. He’s an initiator, but you know what’s more, He’s also a finisher and a perfect one at that! You can trust Him right through the journey from the beginning to the end, knowing that when you look around every step of the way, you will always find Him there!
