“In this earth, in this soil, in this pure field, let’s not plant any seed other than seeds of compassion and love”- Rumi
“Too often, we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around”- Leo Buscaglia
“How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time”- Morgan Freeman
Hi, family. I know you’re wondering if we’re dealing with quotes today, smiles. Well, it’s a good place to begin the ride for this post, and I’d like you to take a minute to read and reflect on those statements. Just before I get carried away, I’ll not forget to say “Hello, how have you been?”

I am aware that 99.9% of the time, we have a ready-made “I’ve been good, thank you” waiting to be let out upon hearing the question, but I hope you are really coping fine and living well in spirit, soul, and body. Thank you for always coming on board, you are a blessing to this house.
Now, let’s get down to the day’s business. There’s this table I would like to touch on in today’s post, but it’s not to be broken. Rather, we are laying our hands on it gently and calling ourselves to order. We are inviting ourselves to see what we have been doing wrong and what we can do better.

It is not news that recent times have been quite difficult, with people going through “a lot”. Yes, we find a way to catch cruise with serious issues, and what a nice coping mechanism that is. However, beneath that well-plastered smile on the face is a cloud of emotions. It sometimes takes a seemingly minor trigger to unveil the pain people have been bottling up and trying to mask by every possible means.
A little situation just comes up, and you see people give a reaction that seems like going overboard compared to the trigger. Many of us even already give it a tag “Oh, why is she overreacting? It’s not that serious”. Well, it might not be serious to you, but there is more to it than you know of.
That reaction didn’t just jump out of nowhere! Rather, it is a response to seeds that have been sown over time. Another thing I’ll liken it to is a cup that has been filled to its brim and now spills over because there is no more room to accommodate the incoming content.

The most powerful weapons that are often wielded knowingly or unknowingly, and that can either build people up or further break them, are our words and action. It’s a point of concern that as much as positive energy exists, the negative also abounds.
The things that we do or say are seeds that are being deposited to have an impact on people’s lives, whether positive or negative. Our words, most especially are more powerful than we can think of. We cannot afford to throw words around carelessly without first considering their weight.
You have an identity, and the label you wear reads “LIGHT OF THE WORLD”. If you are a true representative of the Kingdom you stand for, you are to sow counter-seeds! Yes, you are to sow seeds that will strain out the effect of the former seeds on people.
From our basic knowledge, seeds are most times very little or insignificant in size. But those little items still give rise to the bountiful harvest of whatever is being yielded in return. You are to sow seeds of positivity that will overthrow every air of negativity.

Be a source of blessing to your world. Sow genuine seeds of kindness and generosity. Be one of the reasons people are constantly grateful to God. Be the cause of the smile on someone’s face. Let kind words flow from within you to the outside world.
Never be the reason someone crawls up to a corner expressing regrets for coming into the world or feeling lesser than they are. Don’t be that person that sends unkind words to remind someone of the mistakes they have made, talk more about projecting the errors of the older generation onto the person. You can do better than that.
Lend a helping hand. You have the capacity, or you are in a position to take a burden off someone’s shoulder, do it with joy. People are dealing with problems, don’t be that human that adds to their stress level. If you will be playing a role, it should be to make their lives better.

Sow seeds of reassurance and prayer. Your prayers can go farther than you imagine. Everything that is going on fine and otherwise needs your prayer. These seeds you are sowing will grow to yield a harvest that will blow your mind and give you a call for praise.
Remember to also sow seeds of appreciation to everyone, both young and old. Your ‘thank you’ can never be too much, and it should not be reserved for just a selected few. You have no idea how your sense of gratitude helps people feel that they are making a significant contribution to their environment. Be a grateful soul.
All the great and positive seeds that you are sowing have a common ground on which they are being sown- Love. If this ground is non-existent, the seeds will not have room to grow. In fact, there is no hope of survival. Let all that you do stem from the place of love.

I hope you learnt a thing or two from this note. Kindly share your thoughts with me through your comments, I’ll be happy to read them. Stay positive always, you are loved.

I’ve learnt to intentionally show love to people always, because my little act of kindness can help someone beyond how I think.
Another thing I learnt is I should not be quick to judge someone as “overreacting”, I should try to see things through their eyes.
Beautiful lessons right there!
Thank you so much ❤️.
