“The most important thing one woman can do for another is to expand her sense of actual possibilities”- Adrienne Rich
Hi, there. I know the first three paragraphs got you wondering what was going on here. My goodness, wait for it! I could put a thousand quotes up there because I am so pumped right now.

Now, let me welcome you properly. I hope you’ve been holding up pretty well. The surrounding situations might not be so pleasant, but in all, I desire that you keep your joy intact. As you read this, kindly let out a sigh of relief, and then a smile. Yeah, that’s it! Everything is going to be alright.
Yeah, to the reason I came in with much excitement! International Women’s Day 2023 is here already! What a good time to be alive and healthy! Every day is a call for celebration when it comes to these bundles of uniqueness, but the 8th of March is certainly a very important day for our gender. So, this post is dedicated to every girl and woman out there.

Also, I’ll give a big shout-out to every man that is reading this right now. Thank you for deciding not to tap on the ‘exit’ button just yet. I celebrate you for being here, and I trust that you will pick up a lesson or two for every woman figure in your life.
Right from creation, a woman has always been a vessel of significance. Apart from the first man that ever lived, every other human that has existed till the time you are reading this has had to come through a prepared home in a woman. From that same space, we have had births of greatness over the decades, centuries, and millenniums.
Despite her highly-placed capacity, there was once a time when being a woman was perceived as a disadvantage. All that there is to her was confined to the four walls of the home, and much less, to the kitchen. The firmly-held belief was that her opinions do not matter. She was silenced by fear, even though she had a message she badly wanted to pass across.

Well, the struggle persisted, but right before our eyes, there is a break-out! The narrative has changed and is still changing. Dear woman, you are right at the centre of that change. Those who once were never permitted to let out a sound are now raising their voices and speaking their minds in the places that matter the most in the world, what a beautiful transformation to behold!
More doors are yet being opened to women in all spheres of influence, and we see women picking up their crowns and mounting podiums to address generations. This feat is not to breed unhealthy rivalry or competition. Rather, it is to encourage embracing equality. This, right here, is a major feature in the IWD 2023, as we have one of the hashtags to be #EmbraceEquity.

The change we have been seeing and will yet see reveals what is possible and achievable. It shows that there is no limit to the power that you carry as a woman. Your femininity is no longer the barrier. Gone are the days when you could just be shoved aside or ignored. You can be a part of the new movement, an agent of positive change.
If nothing is standing in your way anymore, what then is still holding you back and keeping you from taking a forward leap? Well, let’s talk about a few.
First, there is the battle of the mind. Anything action that is put out, whether good or bad begins with a thought. Likewise, if there is going to be a change, it begins with a renewal of the mind. All that you wish to see happen is possible once you put your mind to it. Dear lady, rather than thinking of and seeing limitations, why not start to think and see possibilities?
The second is like it, and it is called the issue of bias. You must break every bias, the most important being the self-imposed bias. A lot of times, we limit ourselves so much. We make ourselves believe that there is a boundary we must never cross, just because we are females or because there aren’t many females in that space.

Again, I say unto you; break the bias. Who made the rule that you must never walk through that door, or that it’s not opened to you because of a particular feature or nature that you carry? Hey, it’s high time you took hold of the knob, push the door open and walk right into the room that is all set and ready to receive your presence. You were made for a time like this!
Another thing that might be holding you back is the amount of energy you put into analyzing the problem. I challenge you today not to be so problem-focused. Rather, channel that same energy into providing a solution.
Yes, you need to identify the problem to know what needs to be solved. However, you must go a step further to convert those discoveries into solution strategies. We have heard enough of the problem, and we need a solution to be birthed. Where are the Team Solutions? Step forward with your crowns.
Don’t be scared to be the VOICE that cries in the wilderness, the proverbial John the Baptist. Many of us would rather keep mute than speak out when we notice that something isn’t right. Being quiet feels convenient at the moment, even though we are burning inside and there might be an explosion. Sis, speak up your mind gracefully.

Take a moment to look around and see how things get worse by the day because you do not want to express yourself or get people’s eyes on you, even though you have the right key to the room. Are you satisfied with the picture staring right back at you? If not, what step are you taking today for a change?
See, the fact that no one talks about it or just adapts to it does not make it the norm. Yes, tongues are going to move, but you know what? They always will, and there’s nothing you can do to stop them. But be relaxed in knowing that it’s for a good cause. The bigger news is that they will eventually celebrate you. Imagine how beautiful that moment is going to be!
Get to work already! One of the major issues we face is procrastination. Many times, the solution or answer lies in the work we have left undone. Take time to sit with it, and see everything falling in place. Get to tick the boxes, one step at a time. It might not be an easy route, but it’s going to be worth it because you have created an answer to questions.
Seek positive knowledge actively! Yes o, this must be carefully and fully spelt out. Many times, we seek knowledge, but are you on the right seeking path? Is your source going to yield any positive results? Get the right materials and resources into your space today. Go after the right company, and soon, there is going to be a reward for a time well spent.

This is the last I’ll mention, but certainly the most important of all; BE GODFLUENTIAL and GODFIDENT. Nothing beats the confidence you have in knowing that there is a Father up there that is willing to back up your cause. He desires that you make him famous with what you do, and He takes pride in knowing that you will do just that. You gat help!
On this note, I wish you a Happy International Women’s Day! The world is yours to take, and you have a mandate to the ends of the earth. So, get on your tracks, get set, and go for it!

I’ll see you again soon, you are loved! By the way, below are some other quotes I would like you to go through and be inspired by. Have a good read!
