STILL WATERS (2)

by themirrorandreflections

Hi, welcome to your go-to blog space on Tuesdays!🤗 Thank you for returning and for always engaging the posts through your comments and link shares, it’s deeply appreciated! If this is your first time encountering The Mirror and Reflections, I say a big welcome to you!💃 I’ve been waiting for your arrival, and I’m happy to have you here. I pray you experience that change you have been hoping for.

We’re going into part 2 of Still Waters today, but first, how was reading part 1 for you? In case you missed the update when it was uploaded last week, don’t worry, you’re still on time. I recommend that you start from part 1 by clicking on the link here, as there are a lot of valuable lessons in there for you.

Last week’s post spoke a lot about what Still Waters represents to us as God’s children and the benefits of allowing God to lead us there while we obediently stay right there in and with Him. May I quickly add something to the lessons from last week? Thank you for the permission, I’ll do that here and now!

”Still Waters’ is a place of vulnerability! It is where you can really be yourself before the One who sees you; the El-Roi who sees beyond and through the front you put up, or the ‘hard girl’ or ‘hard boy’ resistance you display. He sees how weak you are, and He’s willing to help you get through it.

Why not be your Father’s child and allow Him to carry you on His shoulders? Let go of that desire to ‘impress’ Him with many words or with a strong appearance. Express how helpless you feel, while allowing Him to infuse inner strength and confident peace into you (Philippians 4:13, AMP).

There are times when we can’t just help but wonder what direction our life is headed, especially after seeing how our friends and acquaintances are making headway in their journey in different aspects. Then, we start to wonder if there’s something we are missing out. This is the focal point of our discussion today.

If this is your current situation or thought, know that indeed, God sees you! I come to you today with a message from the Father and the comfort of scriptures. I believe that by the time you’re done reading this, you will receive answers to the questions on your mind. Let’s see right into it!

Dear tribe member, I know you have faith in God, but I challenge you today to live out that faith and put a little more trust in your Father and all the promises He has made to you in His word. Yes, I had to put it that way because while we claim to have faith, we still find ourselves doubting and pondering sometimes.

Your convictions about what God has said to you can be strengthened, and you can stand tall in His will even with His help. There are promises for you in the scriptures, He even journeyed farther with you by giving you oaths, covenants, and even vows. And then, there are the words He personally gave to you by the ministry of His Spirit within you. All those were not just for talks, He meant every word!

The devil never gives up without a fierce fight, but we have been forewarned not to be ignorant of his devices. One of his many lies is trying to tell you it is because of something wrong you did or the past life you lived. I have come to counter that voice by telling you God’s mind for you, what the devil has been whispering to your heart is a lie!

It is not about anything you have done wrong, you are right on time in His calendar. Even if it was something you did before, that debt is long paid, and that wrong is forgotten. Now, you have a clean slate, wiped completely of wrongs, pronouncement of judgments, and handwriting of ordinances! You are a new creature and a free man; so, live guilt-free and without fear of paying for the sins of the past.

In all you have experienced, whether good or bad, learn to trust God’s ability to make all things work together for good. Have you ever experienced something that wasn’t exactly pleasant before and you just had to thank God that event happened when you eventually saw how the outcome played out? Well, that is to tell you how much of a Master Planner your Father is! Believe that God is in the details of the story! That experience isn’t a waste, you will soon see how beautifully it’s going to turn out. All that was meant for  evil will be turned around for your good!

Every now and then, you read and hear of some people who lived many years ago and whose experiences were captured in the scriptures. I hope it has occurred to you that those stories were not tales by moonlight, folklore, or a ploy to make you feel good. They actually did happen, the experiences were real and happened in real-time, and right on this same planet Earth!

If the people of old had such beautiful realities with God leading them through life, with even something as dramatic as having a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire guide them through day and night, you can have beautiful experiences of God’s leading and assurance as well. He’s the same God back then, and He’s still the same right now! You are not dealing with a different God!

Don’t be tempted to sit with arms folded or drown in brooding about the condition. It’s a good time to develop yourself before the big thing comes. Therefore, keep going and keep growing! Make adequate all-round preparations for the answered prayers you will soon see.

As an idle hand is the devil’s workshop, so is an idle mind! Worrisome thoughts are bound to come when you are idle, therefore, get your hands engaged positively, and make sure your thoughts and meditations are in the right place. Fill your mind up with the right words and affirmations that can counter and stand as your sure defence against the enemy’s lies. Remember, you have been made aware of his strategies!

In addition to this, stay faithful to your assignments and commitments as handed over to you by God; be it in your career or other spheres. Don’t let arising issues distract you from serving faithfully. You never can tell where your answers are coming from, so, stay focused!

As a final word, be a voice of encouragement to people around you! Often, people around us, majorly out of genuine concern, tend to express their worries or fear on our behalf. However, as much as they care, we must learn to encourage them by believing only the true report that has been said concerning us and communicating the same to them.

However, it takes an encouraged person to encourage others. Therefore, first believe in the assurance by and for yourself. When you do, it will be easy to tell others about it and also embody it. When they see your confidence in God, they are also strengthened in their faith.

I am always grateful for how you sit through these posts with me, reading from one word to the other till the very end. I hope you learnt a lesson from this.
