Have you ever felt overwhelmed by a situation or a season going on in your life, to the point where you feel so alone or think that no one else can understand what you are going through? Family members are present, and friends likewise are in your space, but somehow they may or may not have noticed that something is going on because you manage to always put on smiles and wear humour like a garment. In those lone-feeling moments or experiences, how and from where do you draw strength?
Hello, and welcome to another blog post in April! It’s good to have you here again! I believe you expected the post yesterday, I’m sorry I couldn’t get it delivered in time 🙏. But I’m glad it’s here now for you to read. I trust that you ’ve had a great month so far, and that all is well with you and yours. We will yet have more days to make a change in our lives and the world, let’s keep doing the work!

Moving forward from the title and the first paragraph, there are quite some things to uncover. To be ‘surrounded’ can mean different things to different people, as we do not have the same experience. However, what I aim to achieve with this post is to point you in the right direction of what surrounds you at all times in the real and unchanging sense, and how you can bring that into your everyday life, no matter how the days play out.
Permit me to rewind a bit; if we could mention some things we face every day on common ground, it would be things like expectations or deadlines from work or our blooming career path, academics, or family life, keeping up with bills that seem to fluctuate with the situation of the economy, a blast from the past, thoughts about what the future holds, among other things. All these pose as factors that we are surrounded with, factors that place us at the centre while they call for our attention from different angles.
To put this mildly, some of these instances can be quite serious and outstanding to some people, accompanied by emotions that probably go beyond finding the right words to describe them. However, despite all that we’re surrounded with, we can maintain stability within without losing ourselves. Having opened the floor this way, I welcome you once again! Let’s talk about what to do!
No matter how overwhelming the surrounding environment is, we have an even thicker and more overwhelming aura that surrounds us. Do you know what that is? It is the never-ending love that your Father has for you. Even in situations that seem like they will be the end of you, you can be certain that you will get through fine because God’s love towers over you.

Therefore, always remember that you are surrounded by God. Boast to every other thing around that the God-atmosphere around you is thicker than everything else put together. You can count on Him to grant you the wisdom and resources needed to navigate every aspect of your life. Just let your mind stay on Him, and you will see His love working things out for your good!
It is rather surprising, but yet happens a lot of times, that despite having support systems around us, we still fail to acknowledge their presence and open up to them about certain situations. This point is not to judge you or make little of what you’re going through, but rather to remind you that you have been blessed with a whole community of people.
How about you share your concerns with your God-given, appropriate support systems? It would amaze you the kind of responses you would receive as you see them show up for you with ideas, words of encouragement, hands-on interventions, and different forms of help. Start to open yourself more to your support systems, there’s good in there for you!
It is important that you surround yourself with voices that promote positive thinking and expressions. While the situation might not exactly look the way you desire at the moment, you can make it better by declaring the right words and listening to the right set of people.

Learn to regulate your emotions with the right declarations until your feelings catch up with your words. This makes me remember a nice movie I saw recently on YouTube, I first got drawn to it because it had my middle name as its title- TUNMISE.
But really, it ended up carrying a strong message that goes beyond the beautiful name! Wow, the turn this writing is taking is quite unexpected, but I’m glad it’s going this way as I strongly believe it is going to help someone out! Also, it’s nice to give you a movie recommendation again after a while.
The point I’m trying to make here might seem random, but it can help you appreciate the power and impact that lies in positive declarations, in case you haven’t paid so much attention to making use of that weapon. In the movie, there was this lady who had just been posted to a secondary school for her service year. It was bad enough that she didn’t even want to be in that city, but now, she was stuck in a school where the students gave her a tough time in class right from the first day.
Here’s to the point I’m trying to make with the story; she got back to the staff room and while recounting her experience to her colleague, her obviously exhausted self spoke out and said “I’m tired!” Well, that’s not a bad thing to say, is it? After all, that was how she felt and she was only describing it with all honesty.

However, she immediately made a better statement by saying “I’m helped!” I must say that those five seconds thereabouts were one of my take-home lessons from that movie, and you might need to see it to get the context better. The way she responded immediately with “I’m helped” after saying “I’m tired” gave a picture of someone who had trained herself to see the positive side of situations and shape her reality with the right confessions.
Note that the fact that you are saying things that are positive does not mean you are trying to deny your current reality, or that you are avoiding taking responsibility by getting to work with active ways of solving the problem. Rather, you are engaging your mind and telling it to get on board with the solution that is on the way and right at your doorstep. Again, I say to you, make the right declarations!
Sometimes, we tend to distract ourselves from the issue by being lost in the world of social media, movies, hangouts, and the like. While some of these interventions are not all bad, they also do not guarantee a lasting solution as the excitement we feel wears off after a period, and the cloud of realities returns.
However, what we can do instead is to face the issue head-on and speak to it like it can hear because it can. We have to tell ourselves as well as the issue that we are going to make it through, no matter how difficult it may seem. Let us also engage the points I have listed earlier, while working out our diligence, and we’ll see things get better with time.

This is the point where I’ll call it a post, and I believe this has stirred something in you, no matter how little. Always remember that you may be surrounded, but you are surrounded by GOD, and He is the answer and the key to figuring out everything else.
Don’t forget to drop a comment and engage the post in any way you can, by sharing and following the blog’s social media handles. I appreciate how supportive you have been, and I always look forward to hearing from you. Till the next post comes, enjoy and maximise your God-given life!✍️
