Hello, fam. It feels so good to have you back here. The last time I wrote you was in 2022, and here you are again in 2023, the year we’ve been eagerly awaiting. Just look at you, a man and a woman helped by God! I am so happy we made it together, and it is with this energy and excitement that I give you a resounding “Happy New Year”.

How can I go further without first expressing my deepest gratitude to you for loving this space so much? Thanks for going all out for The Mirror and Reflections in 2022. I sincerely appreciate the feedback, recommendations, beautiful commendations, and reposts, they are greatly valued. Much more, thanks for returning in 2023!
I can say this with all confidence; it’s going to be a great year! We will have a good time together as we all are opened up to the insights that will be unveiled by the Giver of wisdom Himself. If it’s your first time here, I love you. Thanks for coming, and welcome on board!

Now, to the business of the day! First, I’d like to believe that we enjoyed the festive season, both Christmas and New Year celebrations. It must have been a good time with friends and family. Even if you were away from home, I believe that the joy of the season was still very evident where you were.
Hmmm, festivities are now over or almost over, depending on your perception. We are back to what I’ll call our “normal lives”, school, work, or any other demand that is laid on you as you journey through life. It’s day 3 of 365 already, and this day 3 is even about to be in the past. Here’s a question for you: After the festivities, what’s next?

If this is a question that has been on your mind, it’s time to talk about it. The beginning of the year of course comes with a fueled passion to live out or start ticking the goal boxes. It’s however funny that this burning passion is sometimes not accompanied by actions. Yes, we have these things in mind and we are going to make them happen. But the challenge now lies in what I call “the starting point”.
Let me point this out; there is no better starting point than where you are right now! It’s not too early in the year to get your plans in motion. Don’t lay hold on the claim that you still have a lot of days ahead. The days are going already, and it’s the whole truth.

I hope you are not getting tensed already. No way, that’s not the aim of this post. In case you are, here’s a chilled glass of water to calm you down. All I’m trying to say is that this is the time to set your mind to achieving those things that you have penned down in your journal. Having your mind on it is not enough, it’s also the time to start making your moves.
It’s a good time to start taking those little steps. The more steps you take, the closer you are to your destination. You have written out great goals, but what’s that little yet significant thing that you can do right now that will make a huge difference and take you a step further to achieving those beautiful goals? If you’ve identified it, do it now!

“Yeah, I get it, I’ll do it in 30 minutes!” No now, let’s not start the year with that. I’m talking about procrastination, and I feel it’s too early in the year to go that way. Nothing stops you from getting it done now. Make that call now, check that site now, or pick up that book now! Whatever it is that you would like to do, do it RIGHT NOW!
It’s not too early to know how well you are doing already, and here’s my reason for saying that. In the last 60 hours that we’ve spent in 2023, what have you done? If you can make a list of your activities and none is pointing in the direction of your set goals, heyyyyy, there’s work to be done! I’ll ask that you go ahead and rate yourself on a scale of 0-10.

I remember mentioning this in one of the posts I wrote last year; get reviews done as frequently as possible. A simple daily evaluation can go a long way in tracking your progress. Let’s make every moment count because it truly counts!
Before I round up today, let me remind you of this standing truth from the Word. You can do all things because you have been graced with strength. Don’t be scared to go all out in seeing to the changes you desire. Make sure to acknowledge Him in all your ways, and you will be the better for it.
Remember this; people are looking up to you, waiting to see the brightness of the irresistible light that you are. What’s more, you already told God that you are the person for the job and He can count on you. He’s doing just that, don’t disappoint Him!

Awwwwwn, it’s been an awesome first post in 2023. I celebrate you for getting to the very end of this post, and I’ll see you in the next. I would love to read your thoughts and comments as well. Have a great week, and an excellent year in all!
