SIGNING OUT

by themirrorandreflections

Finally, it’s the last Tuesday in 2022!!! It’s the day we’ve been talking about and looking forward to the whole time. There is so much excitement in the air as these last days of the last week unfold one after the other. I mentioned last week that I felt like singing, and I still feel the same way today. Who can drum pretty well, abeggg? Oya now, let’s do this!

Of a truth, 2022 has been such a ride! And when I say this, I believe that I speak not for myself alone, but also for you. It’s been full of laughs and cries, ups and downs, wins and losses, disappointments and fulfillments, and every other experience that comes to your mind right now.

There is even a possibility that all I’ve typed here does not even come close to describing what you went through. But hey, look at you now! You fought and won, you came, you saw, and you conquered! I stan a warrior, I stan a King and a Queen! You deserve all the medals in the world!

You will agree with me that you could not have made it to this point of victory without the ever-abiding presence of the One who loves and cares for you so deeply. Through thick and thin, He was and is right there! I can’t just help but exhale a “Thank You, God” when some memories come around. I recommend that you breathe out those three simple words right now. It’s the least you can do right now because He deserves more, to be sincere.

Before we move, let me call your attention to something. In case you haven’t put it in your end-of-the-year schedule, you need to have a “count your blessings” moment o. Ah, you need it! It’s going you up to a lot of thanksgiving and gratitude. Having to remember when everything was falling apart around you, and eventually, all came together standing tall and stronger is a miracle. You are a miracle!

Now, here’s a big shout-out to you! Saying I am grateful or thank you is a huge understatement, for real. I made my counts, and saw that you have read 11 posts (this is the 11th) on this blog from the 18th of October, 2022 till date! I am so short of words at this point, but my heart blesses you. Thanks for being a part of the journey. I am grateful for the gift of you, I am so grateful.

I still feel and know that my appreciation is not complete yet, and here’s the reason. One of my 2022 wins is this blog, and it still wows me now. There’s a whole epistle to this becoming a reality, but we’re not going there today. However, counting 11 posts left me wondering how I got here and where the words are coming from. But there’s only one explanation for this: Dear God, you did (are doing) this one!

If it’s your first time coming here, awwwn, you are highly welcome! I feel so honoured to have you visit the blog today, and I am more honoured knowing that you have come to stay. I trust that you will go through the previous posts. Thanks for being here!

I would have said that there isn’t a message for today, but there actually is. However, the bulk of what we have is what I have done earlier; appreciation notes. I’ll be typing the other stuff on my mind in the next few paragraphs.

Hey, 2022 has come and is going (or has gone, whichever one you’d prefer to use). Years come and go, but we are the living witnesses to prove that they really came. Just think of how many years you’ve witnessed, this is where the thought of your age comes in handy.

This is what I’m driving at. You have survived everything that came staring you in the face in the previous years, and 2022 is about to be one of those years. Sometimes, the end of the year or overcoming a difficult situation leaves you with a feeling like “with all that my eyes have seen this year, there is nothing else coming for me that I cannot withstand”. That’s a true statement and a statement of faith at that, I love it!

2023 is right at the door, and it’s about to usher in every good and perfect gift that you’ve ever hoped and prayed for. Your deepest inner cries and silent whispers are about to be a reality. But do you remember that some other situations come that leave us asking “how” and “why”?

Yes, we do not pray to have them come around, but they show their faces anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not raising an alarm of negativity. I am just reminding you to hold on to your strong confidence in the assurance that He who has seen you through the previous years will see you into and through 2023. You will ALWAYS win!

There is no wall that you cannot break down. You have done it in and through Him before, and you will, yet again. You have ALL it takes to be strong and keep breaking the bounds. You have gained capacity, and you are flying past the hurdles. You are on a fast ride to fulfilment and possibilities. Yes, you are living out your greatness daily!

2023 is going to be bigger and better than you imagined, wished, or prayed for. It’s for certain, and it’s going to happen!

Now, I can finally sign out, yayyyy! The next time you will get a word from here will be in 2023, even the ordinary letter ‘A’. I’ll see you there, love y’all!
